“Happy Gschwantdkopf-Lifts” in Seefeld – Now With a New Sunkid Mega Star
Located near to the bottom lift station from where it provides access to a beautiful beginners' slope, the new “Sportalm” Mega Star poma lift from Sunkid is both user-friendly for guests and low-maintenance for the lift operator.
The family-ski-resort in Seefeld spreads its slopes over three hillsides (Seefeld, Mösern, and Reith) and it offers a wide range of slopes and ski lifts for all the demands of its guests, whether they are beginners or advanced skiers. This year, the “Happy Gschwandtkopflifts” replaced its old “Bruckschlögl” rope tow with a Sunkid Mega Star poma lift of 120 metres in length. The operators were totally drawn to this new lift-system after viewing the first Mega Star in St. Moritz and their expectations have been completely met.
The Mega Star is a small poma lift providing its users with many advantages due to its pivot-mounted seats linked to the steel rope and a motorized elevation-adjustment system allowing height to be raised up to five meters. The following specifications show that this lift really is a great choice:

Operations manager, Wolfgang Schneider
Operations manager, Wolfgang Schneider, says “the Sunkid Mega Star provides a perfect link between the beginners’ area with its Sunkid Wonder Carpet conveyor and the ski lifts within our resort. Our guests love the simplicity of a poma lift and our employees appreciate the motorised elevation system, which allows a smooth and fast slope preparation”.
The Mega Star is part of a new Sunkid lift range which itself functions like a construction kit: through combining and joining the various certified components, one may build 80 different types of lifts. All of these various lifts are based on the principle of small rope tows with low-levelled cables. The system does not require additional supporting pylons (other than the top and bottom pylons) on the track and allows distances of up to 350m and a maximum acclivity of 40 %.
