Planning the children's facilities with Sunkid
The Scuol Motta Naluns lift operators began planning and concept design for expanding their children's facilities a year in advance of the project implementation. Offering years of experience and expertise, Sunkid worked beside the Scuol lift operators from the beginning, providing valuable consultation and support. In the end, the operators decided to enhance their existing facilities built by Sunkid and dating from 2001 with an additional 111 metre-long wonder carpet.
And as a special service to the guests of the Scuol lifts, the operators decided to add the Sunkid gallery enclosure over the 111 metre-long installation. The enclosure protects passengers from wind, rain, snow, and cold. The operators benefit from the increased operating safety provided by the enclosure, as well as reduced maintenance requirements - a significant savings.

Description of the Sunkid gallery enclosure:
In order to further increase the operating safety, a 2m-deep light well was installed underneath the drive station. Equipped with a heater and drainpipe, the well quickly and easily melts the snow that falls inside, thereby avoiding the need to clear away snow around the drive station and minimising regular upkeep.
Great experiences with Sunkid
The early experiences this winter season on the Scuol lifts were very positive. Children and adults are very pleased with the expansions undertaken in the children and beginner's area. "We could always rely on Sunkid and received only the best support for concept design, planning, meeting regulatory requirements, and installation!", exclaims Arno Neuhäusler, the technical director for the Scuol lifts.
