On the Streif with a Sunkid Wonder Carpet

Kitzbühel - Hahnenkamm (A): The most difficult and toughest ski slope in the world is now also open for the youngest skiers

Right in front of the world-famous Streif, one of the most difficult slopes in the world, at the foot of the Ganslernhang, a playground area for beginning skiers came to being during the past winter, in cooperation with the Rote Teufel Ski School and the Kitzbühel mountain railway. With the help of a 132m long and 75cm wide Sunkid Wonder Carpet, the racers of tomorrow ride up to the starting line of the Mini-Streif.

From the starting line, the run goes through the Mausefalle (the famous mousetrap with jump & compression), the Seidlalm jump, over the Hausbergkante jump and sharp corner to the finish line and finally on the Sunkid Wonder Carpet back to Start for a second try. On the way to the valley, a great number of skill exercises from the Sunkid range such as Loops and Waves await the little racers. The Wonder Carpet is equipped with a Blue-Eye belt which features high skid resistance.

During the opening, the Mini-Streif partners not only examined the newly created ski complex, but also subjected the Sunkid Wonder Carpet to a first practical test which it was able to pass with flying colors. Those present were visibly fascinated by the new and modern equipment which from now on is not only available for kids, but also fulfills a supplementary function as a connector between the Ganslern A2 4-place chair lift and the parking lot at the Hahnenkahm railway. The possibility of using the new Sunkid conveyor to comfortably reach the parking lot went down very well with winter sports enthusiasts. This dual utilization possibility of the Sunkid Wonder Carpet is a benefit not only to the young sports enthusiasts, but also to the entire ski area of the Kitzbühel Mountain Railway.
