Sunkid implements a summer project in Ried
Ried in the Oberinntal valley (AUT): In the first construction phase of a complete project, four adventure and play stations were installed at a recreation area
The themes of two sets of play equipment by a bathing lake located in the direct vicinity tied into the example of the recreation area in Ried. First of all is the play ship which combines many types of play equipment and operates without buried foundations. So whether it’s a daring pirate captain, pioneer on an expedition ship or even a dignified captain of a dream cruise liner – the ship offers kids the optimal setting for their imaginative play. The adventure tree house is also a spectacular attraction for children. The striking design stimulates the imagination of children playing here. Could it be the pirates’ hideout where the conquered treasures are piled up? The offer is supplemented by an eagle's nest reaching high into the sky as well as a powerful Goliath swing.
With the first construction phase now completed, the spacious area has become more attractive in the fact that it is inviting for visitors even if the weather should not encourage them to enjoy a swim in the lake. The endeavour will be further enhanced with the implementation of a second construction phase in the upcoming autumn/spring period, during which many more attractions will be built.
As the key building material, wood features not only optimal characteristics for use in playgrounds, but also ensures that the equipment blends inconspicuously into the landscape.
Exploration of your own abilities, getting to know your own limits and overcoming fears (height, speed, darkness) is an essential element of play. The creative Sunkid play equipment facilitates this to a large extent.
