Wooden Gallery VARIOS in Junior Ski Circus
Mitterfirmiansreut (GER): Starting this winter, the pre-existing three conveyor belt and the new 180m (590 ft) conveyor lift will receive roofing with the new wooden VARIOS galleries.
The family ski resort surrounding the comparatively low Almberg (elev. 1139 m/3,740 ft) is sometimes referred to as the “glacier of the Bavarian Forest” due to its snow reliability. To make sure families and beginners enjoy themselves there, as early as 2008 a junior ski circus was opened. It had been planned with the help of Sunkid. Since then, there is an affectionately designed children’s land with three Sunkid conveyor belt, one Rotondo carousel and many figures from the Sunny Stuff range of products. A new addition this winter was a conveyor belt 180 meters (590 ft) long serving a bobsleigh and a ZiBob run. To make their stay an even more comfortable experience, since this winter four VARIOS wooden galleries with a total length of 330 meters (1,082 ft.) protect passengers and all four conveyor belt from wind and weather. The underlying idea behind the Sunkid VARIOS gallery is the flexible combination of different materials but with wood as the central element. In practice, glued laminated timber elements are used. They are connected to a solid hot-galvanized metal base. The panes are three millimeter (108in) Polycarbonate.
