Indoor Skiing with the Sunkid Conveyor belt
Gramado (Brazil): Sunkid for the ultimate indoor skiing experience
Winter sports and Après-ski are more and more becoming an all-year adventure for enthusiasts thanks to state-of-the-art ski centers. Such is also the case in Gramado (Serra Gaucha region) in Brazil. Here as of recently, the first skiing hall in South America with a surface of 16,000 square meters invites visitors to let off some steam. The centerpiece of the indoor center is a 393-foot (120m) long ski slope, which can be accessed with a Sunkid conveyor belt. It not only transports skiers and snowboarders conveniently and safely to the start of the slope, but also serves as a climbing aid for a number of activities such as tubing, airboarding or tobogganing.
The first experiences in Dutch centers showed that conveyors in indoor halls have very specific requirements in terms of structure. For this reason, Sunkid developed a special indoor conveyor as the only company in the world.
