Tubing at the Märchenwald park in Styria
St. Georgen ob Judenburg (Austria): Since the beginning of summer this year, a tubing facility supplements the varied offer at a popular leisure park
With the question “Mom, where do Hansel and Gretel really live?” the Märchenwald family leisure park spanning over 1ac 32ft2 (7,000 sq. meters) was “awakened with a kiss” by the children of owners Sieglinde and Walter Wrabl. Today – 20 years later – the park offers carefree leisure activities for the entire family in the open air: aside from a number of attractions, kids here also enjoy the Sunkid "Butterfly” as well as a tubing course new this summer which was named the Bandit Hopper at Märchenwald.
The 213-foot (65-meter) long tubing course was laid out in the upper area of the leisure park and features 2 steep turns. The course finishes at the end of the second steep turn. From here, riders can go over the bridge in the direction of the starting line. To make the way easier, it has been laid out with plastic mats. Therefore, smaller kids or those with less strength can bring their tubes back to the start of the course on their own and without help (from parents).
