Sunkid: High up with the Traumland crane!
The Traumland auf der Bärenhöhle theme park has gained a breath-taking attraction with the Sunkid Tower in 2021. The interactive Tower, themed as a crane, not only offers a trip into lofty heights with its ten metres but also serves as a beautiful vantage point at the same time.
Traumland is about one hour by car south of Stuttgart and promises “family time”! Since one of the mottos of this park, founded in 1974, is “stagnation equals regression”, the operators have always kept investing in the park and introducing new rides on an ongoing basis.
This is why a Sunkid Tower joined the park in 2021. The Sunkid Tower with more than 110 installations is a classic and one of the most popular Family Rides in the world. It is hardly surprising, then, that the people in charge of Traumland auf der Bärenhöhle picked this interactive ride specifically.
The Tower principle is quickly explained: A slight pull on the Tower rope will move the double seat upwards with motor-powered support. Every rider controls their own height. Releasing the rope will cause the double seat to gently lower again. Repeated up and down movement is possible as well. During the ride, the Tower will spin around its own axis, rewarding the rider with a beautiful all-round view.
Fun Fact: The theme park is called Traumland auf der Bärenhöhle (dream land on the bear cave) because the park is located just above one of Germany’s most visited caves that contains a great number of bear skulls and bones as well as a restored bear skeleton.
