Tube lift doing flag route at NFL Green Bay Packers’ Titletown
With the 3D Chainlift, Sunkid develops the first transport solution that can handle curves!
Multiple Super Bowl winner Green Bay Packers is the most successful team of the National Football League and firmly established in the USA. In 2017, Titeltown, a year-round leisure and event centre was opened right next to the legendary "Lambeau Field" stadium. In addition to events and shopping opportunities, the area also offers many free-time activities.
In winter, the centrally situated Adrian’s Hill offers a unique snow tubing location in the middle of town. To avoid having to drag the tubes back up again after the joyful ride down, Sunkid developed an entirely new transport solution with the "3D Chainlift".
While conveyor belts and various types of lifts have been in use for many years around the world to successfully take tubes back up from the bottom, these solutions have one noticeable limitation: transport takes place in straight lines only.
The newly developed 3D Chainlift by Sunkid now permits unprecedented flexibility in routing. The Titeltown 3D Chainlift covers 126 metres with a curve of 30°. This structure made it possible to route the 3D Chainlift along the tubing track, so that no other constructional changes were necessary. It can be removed without any structures remaining in summer.
Another feature of this facility is its start-stop system when the tubes are taken out, which prevents a tube backlog in the lift. The lift will run only while tubes are taken out. Once this stops, so will the lift. It will start up again as soon as another tube has been removed.
Did you know that …
this new Sunkid transport system is not only suitable to transport tubes, but also other vehicles like rafts, sledges etc.
