Global market leader Sunkid invests in the site Bad Goisern (AUT)

Ground-breaking ceremony for new building at the subsidiary Bruckschlögl

As one of three production operations of the Sunkid brand, Bruckschlögl GmbH is looking back at a history of more than 130 years. In addition to small skiing lifts, the Bad Goisern site also produces the Sunkid conveyor belt – the skiing conveyor belt sold most often world-wide.

"The developments of the last years were so positive for us that our success is posing a challenge to us that any entrepreneur wishes for: our administrative building has grown too small and threatened to burst at the seams," explains CTO Dipl. Ing. (FH) Herbert Zopf at the festive ground-breaking ceremony for the new construction project with an investment total of about two million Euros.

From Bad Goisern to more than 70 countries around the world

Bruckschlögl has more than 60 employees. It is part of the international Sunkid group, and a central production and development location fort the roughly 8,500 projects implemented in more than 70 countries to date. "We not only produce the skiing conveyor belts and lifts for the global market, but also develop and design rides for entertainment parks around the world," Herbert Zopf explains, visibly proud of his team.

With the new construction, which is to be completed in 2019, not only modern and generous office areas for construction and administrative will be created. There will also be sufficient reserves for further growth. Until just a few years ago, the conveyor belt was strictly a skiing conveyor belt for winter sports. Now, a number of variations are also used as means of transport in water parks, in the scope of meetings and events, and as a transport solution in the public area, Herbert Zopf explains the company's positive development.
