Sunkid wins IAAPA Brass Ring Award for Best New Product at IAAPA Expo 2025

Sunkid has just won the Best New Product Award at IAAPA Expo 2025, with the new (4-cabin version) Sundancer Galaxy. This award celebrates Sunkid's "exceptional contributions to the attraction industry. Honoring outstanding design, forward-thinking innovation, and lasting impact on the global stage."

The IAAPA Brass Ring Award comes from a nostalgic tradition at early amusement parks, where carousel riders would reach for a brass ring symbolizing luck and accomplishment. IAAPA honors that legacy by mirroring the same concept into an award that celebrates the best products at IAAPA Expo.

The IAAPA Brass Ring Award for Best New Product recognizes emerging innovations featured in the Best New Product Concept Category to highlight exclusive items that are not available on the market. These concepts are showcased through working prototypes, scale modes, or highly detailed renderings.

For many years, our award-winning Sundancer, as a single-cabin version and with expanded self-operation, has been playing with the the centrifugal forces and offering interactive riding fun in three dimensions. The customer Lotte World Adventures (Korea) request for higher capacity and operator control resulted in a completely new development. The biggest change is the quadrupling of the number of cabins – again with four seats each. In addition, the motorization for moving the ride was significantly increased, including a redesign of the ride center and the connecting elements between the drive and the cabins. The guide rail is now also completely trip-proof, as it is embedded in the floor, and there is a large safety bar for all passengers.

Sunkid is honored to take home this award. A meaningful recognition of our team's hard work and commitment.
