The 2020 summer season is already in the starting blocks and the final work on this year's projects is nearing completion. We would therefore like to invite you on a trip around the world - to some of the most extraordinary installations in the summer of 2019, with special thanks to our customers and partners with whom we have now worked so successfully for almost 25 years and who have sent us these images.
Sunkid Big Pictures Summer
Jahorina (BH)
The Mountain Coaster for the Olympic Center Jahorina (Bosnia) was one of the first projects after the Mountain Coaster was accepted into the Sunkid family. The area around the mountain range, which is only 30 kilometers away from the capital Jahorina, scores with its original charm, dense forests and almost untouched nature - the Mountain Coaster was harmoniously integrated into this idyll. The ride experience through the varied landscape on the 2.5 km long monorail system track is breathtaking. During the discovery ride you pass mountain meadows and forest areas, master steep curves and jumps. Photo points that capture the special moments and provide pictorial memories capture the breathtaking ride.
Since the 2019 summer season, the world-famous Hahnenkamm has been home to the new Streif Erlebniswelt, where young and old alike can get up close and personal with the pros at 9 activity stations modeled on the Streif.
Sundkid's "Streif" lettering after the Seidlalm jump immediately catches the visitor's eye, this serves as a great photo motif and at the same time as a playground for children. Next to it, benches and sun loungers made of larch invite the adults to relax and enjoy, while the little guests can let off steam at the adventure playground.
Millions of years ago dinosaurs roamed the earth, thousands of years ago saber-toothed cats hunted through the forests, but mankind knew nothing of a saber dinosaur - until the summer of 2019, because at Potts Park in Minden it stands, the first and unique saber dinosaur. The XL Butterfly, designed as a giant dinosaur skeleton, is admired and tested by young and old. Passengers slowly ascend the ride until the starting height of over 6 meters is reached. As soon as you get there, the saber-toothed cat latches on, whizzes along the dinosaur's approximately 27-meter-long back and swings out in the skeleton of the prehistoric giant. Fun and adrenaline are 100% guaranteed here.
Schladming is not only known for its great ski slopes, because in summer the area around the Dachstein is also a real hiking and biking paradise. With the Bikepark Reiteralm, the destination has expanded its summer offer and thus created a new offer for parents who want to spend time and do sports together with their children. The Sunkid Moving Carpet serves as the perfect ascent aid for the young freeriders.
From July 4 to 7, 2019, things were heating up at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. The Ford company went to great lengths to attract the attention of the public - this effort paid off. A Mountain Coaster track was installed on the roof of the four-story stand, running along the outside of the building. Almost 2,800 people rode the Mountain Coaster (simulation of the Ford Focus ST) down the approximately 70-meter track and enjoyed the extraordinary ride.
Since the summer of 2019, Poland has been home to one of the most impressive summer and winter tubing parks in the world. The facility is fully illuminated and provides fast-paced recreational fun for the whole family - all year round, too. To make the ascent easier, a 120-meter Moving Carpet has been installed. Visitors to the Kurza Gora ski resort can choose between three parallel high-speed tracks, each 124 meters long, and two tubing tracks that cross each other. An adrenaline rush is definitely provided - whether you choose the tunnel track, the flyover or the tubby jump into an airbag.Poland is home to one of the most impressive summer and winter tubing parks in the world since the summer of 2019. The Wooden Ball Tracks, installed since last summer at the Merano 2000 cable cars, encourages children's motor skills and takes them on an exciting race. This track consists of several channels, funnels and obstacles, which keep the race exciting until the end. Handling the ball track reinforces the children's playful perception, has a calming and motivating effect at the same time and also provides a sense of achievement - so it's a real all-rounder.
