On Friday, June 19, 2026, the shareholders and management hosted the “50 Years of Sunkid Heege” anniversary celebration at the Bassenheim site near Koblenz. The focus was on the workforce, which plays a key role in the company’s success both today and in the future. Managing Director Michael Kalsch emphasized this point several times in his opening remarks at the start of the event. The two owners of the Sunkid group of companies, Emanuel Wohlfarter and Herbert Zopf, also directed their words of thanks to the assembled team and highlighted the beneficial synergies between the departments located at various sites (development, design, manufacturing, sales, etc.).
The group ate, drank, celebrated, and laughed together late into the night. In addition to the buffet, bar, and live music in the production hall, the entertainment program offered interesting and entertaining experiences for everyone: Colleagues who had traveled from France and Austria were given a tour of the factory. A Sunrider invited everyone to take part in some fun races. A major highlight was the chance to take a seat in a prototype of the latest Sunkid Family Ride, the “Rocking Tower,” and swing into the summer night with a good dose of adrenaline!
