The success stories
It is not only the precise planning, creative design, and high-quality workmanship by Sunkid and Almholz that contribute to a Wood’n’Fun success story. It is also always our customers and partners, i.e. you and your team, who work with us to make your project a reality, step by step.
Stories are an indispensable part of the success of any great project. They give the experience a framework and take the little adventurers into a world in which they themselves become part of the story while actively playing and experiencing the play equipment and attractions.
A superlative summer experience was created along what is probably the most famous downhill run in the world. Nine stations were set up along the most important sections of the route to give children an understanding of the history and significance of the Streif in a playful way.
The team around Sunkid & Almholz was allowed to implement four of them: In addition to the 20-metre tunnel slides and various climbing stations, a Streif lettering was also erected in giant, playable wooden letters.
In beautiful Vorarlberg, we got to build two high alpine playgrounds on two mountains in the Silvretta Montafon mountain region this year. While a total of 6 ball tracks with over 30 ball track stations were built for our youngest guests on the Genussberg Nova, the somewhat older ones can let off steam to their heart’s content at the motor skills park on the Hochjoch adventure mountain.
With the Biberwasser we built a modern play park for children on the Mariazeller Bürgeralpe, embedded in nature. The attractions include a water play area with a raft race, gold panning facility and beaver domino as well as a giant slide and the “Eagle’s Nest” climbing facility with ropes, suspended ladders and climbing nets at heights of up to 3 metres.
36 play stations – 3 themed trails Let’s go! Many adventures await you in the WIDIVERSUM. Only with courage and brains you can pass them all and solve the riddle of the hidden crystal.
Your task: Collect as many letters as possible at the seven puzzle stations to decipher the secret word on your puzzle card.
Games, fun, and interesting facts about the rare Swiss stone pine were the challenges in the design of the new Zirbenpark. The result is an approximately 1 km long circular hiking trail along which the positive properties of the “Queen of the Alps” are presented in an entertaining way.
Fun is not neglected: planting Swiss stone pine nuts, balancing, climbing, jumping into the hay, visiting the petting zoo, planing shavings for your own Swiss stone pine pillow or taking part in a quiz – the possibilities in the Swiss stone pine park are manifold.
It is no coincidence that the element of water is the focus of the playground because nothing fascinates children more than water and everything that can be “done” with it. The highlights of the nature adventure area include the water play world with the double raft, the play huts in the gold pond, the dams, the giant sandbox, slides, trampolines, climbing ropes, and much more...
Oberstdorf Kleinwalsertal Bergbahnen – regular customers of the Sunkid and Almholz companies for years – are always on the lookout for that “special” experience. In June 2019, a new milestone was created with the Söllis Kugelexpress. A true-to-the-original Pistenbully with cabin superstructure invites you to play, explore and romp around, and the integrated marble run makes children’s hearts beat faster.
ALMZEIT SÖLDEN has recently been inviting visitors to play, have fun, relax, and enjoy. The diversity of the 14 participating huts and alpine pastures is presented in the form of special attractions on the theme of “time” along the new themed hiking trail on the alpine pastures high above Sölden. The theme ALMZEIT, developed by the project development company Input, was elaborated together with Sunkid, and cast into a detailed concept.
The Pitztal is not only one of the leading winter sports destinations, but also a popular vacation destination in summer. It offers all kinds of opportunities for sporting recreation in the midst of the alpine Tyrolean mountains (AUT). As an ideal complement, Kerschdorfer Gartenbau (general contractor) and Almholz (timber buildings) together with Sunkid built the Pitz Park with playground, natural bathing pond and ball sports fields in the spring of this year.
