First Mountain Coaster 2.0 in the world running in Trysil, Norway

Summer fun in the "Eventyrpark": The expansion of the summer attractions in the well-known Norwegian mountain sports resort of Trysil has a lot to offer speed fans of all ages. In addition to summer tubing, electric go-karts, bike trails and bouncy cushions, the world's first Sunkids Mountain Coaster 2.0 went into operation here in the fall of 2023.

Having already successfully realized several Moving Carpet and a Mountain Coaster project at Hammarbybacken in Stockholm, Sweden, the customer SkiStar also opted for the unique monorail all-weather ride from Sunkid for the expansion of the summer attractions in Trysil, Norway. The ride was the first of the latest generation 2.0 in the world.

Here, all guests - children between the ages of three and seven accompanied by an adult - can enjoy an unforgettable, fast-paced tobogganing experience on the ski slopes already familiar from winter. "The ride starts at the bottom of the slope, where the coaster is pulled up by the drag lift. Then just lean back, feel the tingling in your stomach and enjoy the ride down the mountain! [...] The SkiStar Mountain Coaster in Trysil offers speed, thrills and full control. You ride on rails, control the speed yourself and can reach a top speed of up to 40 km/h. The technical highlights of the 2.0 summer toboggan run include an automatic exit conveyor and active ride assistance distance control. This safety feature prevents vehicles from following each other too closely - it also makes it possible to limit the speed on certain sections of the track.

Thanks to the Sunkid single-rail concept, a variety of bends offer exciting banked turns for all tobogganists. Wave segments take you up and down and up and down. This makes for extra tummy tingling!
