Ski School Achensee (Austria) installs new Sunkid small ski lift
High quality teaching, personal support and a modern, holistic learning concept - these are the values that the Ski School Achensee (Achenkirch, Austria) has made its own. Ski school deputy director Michael Mischelin explains: "With modern infrastructure, playful teaching methods and a warm atmosphere, we create experiences that inspire our guests to enjoy winter sports in the long term."
The 2025/2026 season got off to a successful start with a new small ski lift from Sunkid, the so-called "Super Cord". The main reason for this investment was the Ski School's desire to extend and modernize an existing lift - and the Sunkid Super Cord offered the ideal combination of modern technology and a manageable budget.
The Super Cord was designed with a motor output of 7.5 kW in view of the approximately 130 meter long and on average 20 percent steep lift route. This enables a theoretical capacity of 700 people to be transported uphill per hour using the plastic rope with handholds.
The new small ski lift is used in the "SNOWLAND" practice area for children's lessons and enables safe and efficient transportation of Ski School students. The independent "boarding" or holding on to the lift rope makes the teaching process much easier. Mischelin comments: "The feedback from our ski instructor team has been very positive across the board - the ease of use, the high level of operational safety and the noticeable relief in daily ski school operations are particularly emphasized."
Michael Mischelin continues: "In addition, our very positive experience with the Sunkid conveyor belts contributed significantly to the purchase decision. [...] Our experience with Sunkid's service has been very positive. From planning to implementation to ongoing support, we feel that we are well supported. We particularly appreciate the competent advice, the fast response time for questions or concerns and the high level of professionalism of the entire team."
