Completely redesigned: "Montelinos Erlebnis-Alm" officially opened

Back in 2023, the year-round destination Saalbach-Hinterglemm (Austria) expanded its summer offerings with a large, individually designed adventure trail and water playground as well as a brilliant adventure and play world from the Sunkid product world Wood'n'Fun.

On June 28, 2025, the latest summer attraction for young and old was officially opened in the heart of Hinterglemm. Here, the completely redesigned adventure area "Montelinos Erlebnis-Alm" was once again created in collaboration with Sunkid's partner Almholz. A loving and elaborate continuation of the story of the destination's mascot - the clown Montelino.

There is now a themed water and sand playground, a gigantic alpine hut with slides, a viewing platform, a ropeway element and tree carousel, climbing zones and motor skills routes, ball tracks and even a parent-child swing. Almost all of the play station elements and equipment were made from sustainable, regional and untreated larch wood.

The theming is based on classic motifs and objects from alpine farming - such as huts, hay rakes and horn sledges - and the cheese-making trade - from cows and milk churns to cheese wheels. A variety of loungers and seats provide the necessary relaxation for children and their adult companions during play breaks.

The highlight of the area is a huge playable Montelino, which makes children's eyes light up and can be climbed and experienced via several access points (climbing wall, ladder, tubes) and levels. Sunkid was already able to present this special play equipment to an international audience at the Interalpin 2025 trade show.
