The Sunkid Family Ride blends seamlessly into the “Mini-Châteaux” theme park (France)

The Mini-Châteaux theme park invites visitors on a journey through France’s cultural heritage. In a wooded park spanning approximately two hectares, 41 of the most beautiful castles of the Loire Valley are presented as intricately detailed miniature models. To further expand the offerings for families and children, a Sunkid Sunrider was installed here. The attraction blends seamlessly into the existing park concept and complements the cultural content with movement and interactivity.

The Sunrider’s realistically designed horses fit perfectly into the detailed miniature world of the former French nobility—after all, these animals were their primary means of transportation for centuries. Other attractions in the park also pick up on this theme, including a historically designed carousel featuring horses, hot-air balloons, and classic vehicles.

The Sunrider ride consists of two parallel tracks, each 21 meters long. This allows two guests to experience the attraction together and playfully slip into the role of historical travelers. Instead of merely watching or riding along, guests are encouraged to get active themselves and experience the attraction under their own power.

This project demonstrates how modern family attractions can be harmoniously integrated into existing themed worlds. The Sunrider combines cultural heritage with active recreation, creating an experience that brings history to life in a playful way.
