Sunkid water conveyor closes gap in the transport chain

The "Western Water Park" in Magaluf is the second largest and only fully themed water park on the popular Spanish vacation island of Mallorca and is located around 15 minutes' drive from Palma. The three park areas "Westernland", "Indian Town" and "El Paso" offer guests 20 slide attractions of various adrenaline levels as well as four children's areas with fun water play elements.

In April 2025, Sunkid installed a new water conveyor to efficiently and conveniently extend the existing conveyor system (from another manufacturer!) of the "Big Hole" slide - for the onward transport of the two-metre-wide tubes to the "Gran Cañon" slide.

The main challenge was the integration of the Sunkid conveyor into the finished pool, slide and transport infrastructure and the limited space available for it. With the help of the modular Sunkid system, a custom-fit solution was quickly found and the connection to the already outdated third-party system with gravity roller tracks was established. The final acceptance and commissioning took place at the beginning of May.

The employees of the park operator Aspro Ocio S.A.U can now decide depending on the utilization of the two slides: Provide the tubes transported to the top directly for the "Big Hole" slide or send them on to the next level via the eleven-meter-long Sunkid conveyor - into the entry pool of "Gran Cañon".
