"Child-friendly skiing fun" on the Markbachjoch with new Sunkid conveyor belt
According to the Ski Juwel Alpbachtal Wildschönau (Austria), "with 114 kilometers of varied slopes, modern lifts and numerous highlights, it is one of the most popular ski resorts in Tyrol." To ensure the best possible future conditions, the 2025/2026 winter season saw major investment in the infrastructure - with a particular focus on the customer group of families with children.
In addition to the installation of a new blue "children's slope" on the Schatzberg, including the purchase of a Sunkid Moving Carpet for the Kinderland (74 m), winter sports enthusiasts can also expect a new 116-metre-long, covered conveyor belt from Sunkid at the mountain station of the Markbachjochbahn. This modern Moving Carpet makes it child's play to make your first turns in the snow - on the upper part of the "Märchenwiesen Abfahrt".
The "EVO N" gallery with robust polycarbonate panels includes four "slide up" emergency exits. Self-retracting PVC entrance and exit tarpaulins offer the best protection against all weather conditions when not in use. The external i-CONTROL terminal with 7" display and the cameras mounted in the gallery enable intuitive and safe remote control of the entire system.
Active hydraulics ensure optimum belt tensioning of the 75 cm wide conveyor belt (with "Blue Eye" surface). In combination with the 22 kW drive unit, a theoretical transport capacity of just over 2,000 people per hour can be achieved with a uniform distance between people (1.2 m).
