Sunkid Moving Carpet transports athletes comfortably to the start 365 days a year
The Izvoare Resort in the Maramureș region (Romania) is a modern year-round destination whose hybrid attraction offering is now even more independent of the seasons and snow depths.
A dry slope ski and training area measuring around 90 meters in length and 2,000 m² has recently been opened here. This facility enables skiing and snowboarding activities in almost all weather conditions and is used for beginners' courses as well as training for ambitious competitive athletes. In addition, an exciting "fun area" for the whole family is integrated into the sports facility - including a "SKIDDY" drift kart area, two 80-metre-long "TUBBY" sliding slopes and two "SKLIDE" tracks of the same length.
A Sunkid Moving Carpet of the latest generation (Type N) is used for the comfortable and safe uphill transport of all guests and their sports equipment. Children and winter sports beginners in particular benefit from its ease of use.
The project in Izvoare is a prime example of how sustainable year-round tourism development and simplified access to winter sports can be combined. Many thanks to our customer and all local stakeholders as well as our partner Neveplast for allowing us to be part of this development.
